Trichotillomania (or "trich") is a misunderstood but surprisingly common condition of compulsive hair-pulling and twisting resulting in patchy hair loss, often with increased severity during times of stress.
Routinely undiagnosed by doctors, sufferers typically disguise the condition with the use of hairpieces, hats and particular hairstyles, e.g. wearing the hair up.
Initially nervous because of poor experiences elsewhere, Josie declared she was "over the moon" with her transformation and had "the best day". And doesn't she look gorgeous! 💖
We have a ton of clients with trich and, for Josie, this should be a temporary solution allowing her hair to recover.
For many, the feelings of guilt after an episode of pulling are often compounded by looking in the mirror and seeing the results - leading to a vicious cycle of depression and more pulling. Our techniques can stop this cycle in its tracks.
With client after client, our Kinsey System for female hair loss works when the likes of therapy doesn't. Not only is it more difficult to "tug" at "favourite" areas but starting again with a clean slate and full head of hair is often the trigger that helps recovery finally begin.
And the time to deal with it is now - the longer you leave it, the greater the chance of permanent hair loss.
We work on your head not in it. There's no airy-fairy mumbo-jumbo. We jump straight in and transform your look allowing you to feel normal again and kickstart your recovery.
So if you're suffering with trich, come and see us and let's see what we can do together to turn your life around. 🌈
